Charles L. Black III is the Executive Vice President, Marketing & Strategic Development for Hilton & Hyland. Previous to Hilton & Hyland, Charles held several senior positions in sales and marketing and real estate development.
More recently, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing for Montage Beverly Hills implementing strategies that helped expand their global presence, as well as driving sales and marketing efforts for the Montage Residences Beverly Hills, through the sale of the last residence (ranging in size from 1,900 square feet to 5,700 square feet, and listed between $4 and $14 million).
Prior to working for Montage Hotels & Resorts, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing for Cap Juluca in Anguilla, where he launched residential sales and marketing initiatives for The Villas at Cap Juluca, and repositioned the Cap Juluca brand-increasing overall revenue and recapturing several industry accolades for the property. His earlier experience includes a position as Director of Marketing, Caribbean, for IMI, where he directed all real estate marketing initiatives for Fairmont Anguilla, Raffles St. Lucia and Raffles Tortola; and several leadership positions for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company (over a seven year tenure) in New Orleans, Jamaica and Grand Cayman, playing an integral role in the early sales and marketing efforts of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Grand Cayman.
His knowledge and background in marketing and hospitality has allowed him to provide impeccable service and unique marketing opportunities to his real estate clients.
An active member of the travel and hospitality industry, Charles has served on numerous tourism boards. Currently, he sits on the board for the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce (BHCC) and leads the Marketing Committee, focusing specifically on revamping digital marketing and social media efforts. He is also a member of the BHCC Political Action Committee and Beverly Hills Rotary Club, where he spearheads their public relations efforts.
Promoting Philanthropic efforts has always remained a focus for Charles. Shortly after joining Hilton & Hyland, he launched the “Hilton & Hyland Helping Hands” program, supporting local Beverly Hills charities and fundraisers as well as Los Angeles based charities Food on Foot, Ronald McDonald House, and Habitat for Humanity (among others). He is an active member of Philanthropy Touch.
Charles holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Loyola University, with a double major in International Business and French. He also attended Université Catholique de Louvain in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.
