David Arquette’s historic Hancock Park home finds a buyer

“Scream” star David Arquette is bidding farewell to his historic English Craftsman-style home in Hancock Park.

While the final sale price wasn’t clear, sources familiar with the property said it likely fetched close to the home’s last asking price of $8.4 million.

Arquette first listed the house for sale in June 2016 but took it off the market in October. He then relisted at a $45,000 discount in May.

He bought the Plymouth Boulveard property in 2014 for $7.1 million, according to property records.

The 9,708-square-foot home, designed by architects Hunt, Eager & Burns, was originally home to prominent attorney Henry O’Melveny. The so-called O’Melveny House was built in 1908 and has seven bedrooms and six bathrooms.

It also has a mediation pond, an outdoor fireplace, a swimming pool and a spa.

Jonah Wilson of Hilton & Hyland represented the seller.
