The Rockefellers: Art & Philosophy Panel Discussion Presented by Hilton & Hyland Alongside Christie’s

As the exclusive Los Angeles affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, Hilton & Hyland joined Christie’s auction house in their Beverly Hills flagship to hold one of four public exhibits of the collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller before hitting the auction block next month.

Gathered over a lifetime and handed down from previous generations, the collection reflects the Rockefeller family’s deep passion for Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art. Thus, the evening began with a cocktail hour which allowed guests to view works of art from the likes of Georgia O’Keefe, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Diego Rivera, Paul Gauguin, and more. The evening ended on the lavish rooftop where the intimate panel discussion among Paul Frimmer, Partner, Loeb + Loeb, John Goldwyn, Producer, and Rosemary Ringwald, Wealth Planning Solutions Executive, U.S. Trust, commenced.

Christie’s will hold a three-day auction of the collection from May 8th through May 10th in New York City. Benefitting 15 philanthropic organizations, the sales will be conducted in keeping with David Rockefeller’s pledge to direct the majority of his wealth to philanthropy and provide for the cultural, educational, medical, and environmental causes long supported by the couple.

“Eventually all these objects which have brought so much pleasure to Peggy and me will go out into the world and will again be available to other caretakers who, hopefully, will derive the same satisfaction and joy from them as we have,” stated the late banker.
